1. Goddess Lakshmi’s Incarnation

As mentioned earlier, Goddess Lakshmi emerged from the churning of the cosmic ocean on this day, bringing prosperity, good fortune, and abundance to the universe. Worshiping her on Akshaya Tritiya is believed to bring endless blessings.

It is also believed that this is the day when Goddess Lakshmi took residence in the heart of Lord Vishnu, which is why worshipping both Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu together is considered auspicious on this day.

2. The Birth of Lord Parashurama

Akshaya Tritiya marks the birth anniversary of Lord Parashurama, the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who is known as the warrior sage. Devotees worship him on this day for strength and protection.

3. The Writing of Mahabharata

On this sacred day, Sage Ved Vyasa began composing the great Hindu epic Mahabharata, with Lord Ganesha acting as his scribe. This highlights the day’s association with knowledge and wisdom.

4. Lord Krishna’s Blessing

The significant event from the Mahabharata, where Lord Krishna uttered the word 'Aksha' and provided endless cloth to safeguard Draupadi’s honour in the Kaurava assembly, also took place on this auspicious day.

On Akshaya Tritiya, it is believed that purchasing gold, silver, and other valuable ornaments brings prosperity and wealth.
