How to perform Akshaya Tritiya Pooja at Home?
- Wake up early, take a bath, and clean your puja room. Place a frame of Goddess Mahalakshmi (preferably Lakshmi Narayana) and draw a rangoli (kolam) in front of it.
- Place a banana leaf, spread rice at its center, and position a copper pot filled with water over it. Decorate the pot with mango leaves, place a turmeric-coated coconut on top, making it a kalasam, and keep a small vessel filled with paddy beside it.
- Make a turmeric Ganapati (Ganesh) idol and place it on the right side of the banana leaf.
- Place a newly bought item or even salt in front of the kalasam as a symbol of prosperity and light a lamp.
- Begin worship by praying to Lord Ganesha, followed by invoking Goddess Mahalakshmi to reside in the kalasam. Chant Vishnu-Lakshmi, Shiva-Parvati, or Kubera mantras.
- Offer incense, lamps (Dhoop and Deepam), sweets, fruits, and milk mixed with sugar as naivedyam.
