How to Worship:

• After bringing home a new vellerukkan Ganesha, during the Rahu Kala, the whole of the Ganesha idol should be coated with turmeric and dried in the shade.

• On another day during Rahu kala the Ganesha now must be coated with sandalwood paste adn again sun-dried. After is completely dried one can keep the Ganesha in the pooja room and offer prayers

• Worshiping Ganesha by offering  erukkampoo, arugambul, vanni leaf, etc. and applying devotional powders like  attar, javvadu, and punuku will bring happiness and peace of mind at home.
